I learn something from The Whole Steward every time I hear their podcast or read their newsletter. So many shows about “wealth” neglect all the various aspects of what that word means, and leave me feeling greedy. The Whole Steward focuses on ALL the resources God gives us, and how to grow and use them for His glory and our own good.

Andrew is a deeply religious person and he is very bought in to “agency”. Everything that he does in his financial life, all the material that he puts out, all of the time that he spends on his family’s finances, are designed around serving God, around providing great experiences and lessons, and stewardship over his family and his multiple children, and growing agency for the family, and now paying that forward. His podcast is about the same stuff that I talk about …and it’s from a completely different perspective. You should go back and listen to how he talked about Silicon Valley Bank, the Federal Reserve. He also did a great job breaking down the advantages of rental real estate, and the necessity of private property. I love that he called it The Whole Steward. “Whole” I think, not putting words in his mouth, means you have to holistically look at your world, your life, your finances, your family, your beliefs, your religion, and you need those to work in concert. Otherwise you have a very fragmented life and you don’t get anywhere. And the word “steward” is just a nod to our creator, …which means we are in charge of these abundant things in our lives. We should be grateful for them, but we should also not waste them, we should put them to good use.

Appreciated your whole steward on CV-19
Appreciated your whole steward on CV-19. We should forgive but may we never forget nor blindly trust. Not to be negative but I don’t have high expectations for most of humanity if they try something like that again. Many will just continue to believe what they want or whatever mainstream narrative they hear. And I think many people will just comply again. We are simply too much in love with our comfort and conveniences as a society and too afraid to take any kind of stand. We tend to see things only in a short term and myopic perspective while ignoring hypocrisy, lies and inconsistencies. We will of course hide behind the reasoning of “love your neighbor, grace” or whatever other noble sounding excuse that will make us feel good about ourselves and perhaps hide the guilt of our cowardice. That may sound harsh but I believe it’s true for many…we are often just simply cowards and live by fear rather than faith, act pragmatically rather than Biblically, trust the government over God, and are man-centered rather than God-centered. I include myself in that and pray that we would repent of this and live more faithfully in the face of evil and tyranny. If we cannot do that now when the tyranny is small then we are in trouble if the days ahead become even worse. I hope I am wrong in my assessment and people will resist tyrannical unlawful decrees.
