Terms and Conditions

Effective October 21, 2026.

These terms cover your use of thewholesteward.com and the podcast, videos, articles and newsletter published by The Whole Steward ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Education, not personal advice

Everything The Whole Steward publishes, including the podcast, videos, articles, newsletter and anything said by our guests, is for general education and encouragement. It is not personal financial, investment, tax, legal, or other professional advice, and it doesn't consider your situation. We are not licensed financial advisers, brokers, attorneys, or tax professionals. Guests' views are their own. Investing and real estate carry risk, including loss of money. Guests may own, sell, or profit from investments or services they talk about. Past results, including anyone's personal story, don't guarantee future results. Biblical principles and specific scriptures we discuss are not a guarantee of any particular financial result. Listening, reading, or writing to us doesn't create an adviser-client or any other professional relationship, and a reply to your question is still general information, not advice. Before acting on anything you learn here, consider your own circumstances and talk with a qualified professional. Any decision you make is your own responsibility.

Guests, links, and endorsements

We link to guests' websites and other resources because we think they're useful. Unless we say otherwise, we aren't paid for those links or mentions. If we're ever paid, given something free, or earn a commission from a link, we'll say so clearly right where it appears, on the page or in the episode, not just here. We don't control other sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.

Our content

The site's text, audio, video, artwork and logo belong to The Whole Steward or the people who licensed them to us. You're welcome to share links and short quotes with credit. Please don't republish whole episodes, articles or artwork, or use our name or logo for anything else, without asking first.

Reviews you send us

When you submit a review, you confirm it's your own honest opinion about your own experience, and you give us permission to show your first name, last initial, star rating and message on this site and in other things The Whole Steward produces. We never show your email address or last name (see our Privacy Policy). We publish reviews as written; if we ever need to shorten one for space, we'll mark the cut with an ellipsis and keep both the praise and the criticism. We publish honest reviews whether they're positive or negative. We remove only spam, abusive or off-topic posts, reviews that appear fake, and posts that share someone else's private information, and we apply those rules the same way to every review.

Using the site

Please don't misuse the site or its forms. That includes sending spam, trying to break or overload the site, or submitting someone else's information. We may block anyone who does. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we're free to use them without paying you. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time on our unsubscribe page.

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email [email protected]. Include the work, where it appears on our site, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized. We'll look into it promptly and remove material where appropriate.

No warranty; limit of liability

The site and everything on it are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We try to be accurate but can't promise everything is complete, current, or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, The Whole Steward and its owners aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any investment or financial loss, arising from your use of the site or its content, including decisions you make based on it. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to $100. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or intentional wrongdoing.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If you have a concern, please contact us first and we'll try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that can't be resolved that way will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you and we agree to that location. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and the version posted here is the one that applies.
